About University of Central Missouri:

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) is a public university in Warrensburg, Missouri, United States.The University traces its roots back to 1871 when it was established as Normal School No. 2. Over the years, it underwent several name changes, evolving into Warrensburg Teachers College, then Central Missouri State Teachers College in 1919, and later Central Missouri State College in 1945. Finally, in 1972, it attained university status and became known as Central Missouri State University.

In 1965, the university took a significant step forward by establishing a graduate school. Subsequently, in 2006, it was rebranded as the University of Central Missouri.

Offering a diverse array of academic programs, the University boasts 150 majors and minors, along with 32 professional accreditations and 37 graduate programs. It prides itself on its cutting-edge STEM-focused facility known as the Missouri Innovation Campus, situated in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Additionally, the University caters to modern learners through a wide range of online courses and programs.

    Eligibility

    Incoming freshman student who has taken at least one dual credit course with UCM Received at least a 3.0 GPA or higher in all UCM dual credit coursework Must enroll full-time (12 hours) each semester Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or eligible international student* Be a regularly- admitted freshman (not provisionally admitted) File a FAFSA by April 1st of senior year *Missouri state law prohibits the granting of state aid (including scholarships, in-state tuition, etc.) to any student with unlawful immigration status and/or DACA status.

    Description

    The UCM Dual Credit Scholarship provides assistance for incoming freshmen who have taken at least one dual credit course with UCM, and meets the required academic and enrollment criteria.Renewability: This scholarship may be renewed for up to six (6) semesters of undergraduate studyprovided the recipient: Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher in all UCM coursework Mustenroll full-time (12 hours) each semester.

    Intensive English Program available for students who do not meet English requirements.
